Clear data if back button was clicked after the submission

When a survey is submitted by a user and the back button is hit, how do we have a blank form populate instead of displaying data from a different user that was previously submitted? Can we clear the form upon hitting the back button?

Hello Chewy, Thanks for reaching out Jotform. If I understand this correctly, do you want to clear the previous data added if the user hits the back button of the browser toolbar after the submission? If your users will going to fill out the form again after they submit the form, you can add a Fill Again action button on the Thank You Page so that once the user clicked it they will have a fresh form without the previous data added. Doing this is easy, see the attached screencast below:

Give it a try and let us know if you have other questions .

I have already done that however, it does not prevent the back button from being entered and seeing sensitive data. Other survey platforms have that capability, can you confirm Jotform does not?

Hi Chewy, Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I understand that after hitting the submission button, you go back to the previous page to see some of the fields already filled up. This feature also depends on the browser you are using. Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox will show you the previously filled data upon navigating back. As a measure, please go back to the Form Settings page, move down to the last option and choose NO to restrict the browser to store and autocomplete form fields.
